Behind The scenes

Although all our series are designed to amaze and inspire, often seeing behind the scenes, seeing what goes into making these projects are equally as inspiring and jaw-dropping. Hear from the people behind the cameras, computers and storyboards to truly see what it takes to make these spectacular series.

Our Oceans

This series was produced over the course of 6 years, across 35 countries filming on all 7 continents. The team spent over 500 days living at sea capturing behaviour with total hours (across the crew) spent in the field away from home amounting to almost 30 years. Our crews filmed in a variety of ecosystems including on active volcanoes, deep into the abyss, and on actively carrying ice shelves. Teams also filmed in temperatures ranging from -35 to 46 degrees Celsius.

Our Great National Parks

Spanning five continents, the series brims with wonder, humor, and optimism as each episode tells the story of a national park through the lives of its wildest residents— both big and exceptionally small — and explores our changing relation-ship with wilderness.

Traveling from the waters of Monterey Bay, California, to the bright red soil of Kenya’s Tsavo National Park, the lush rainforests of Indonesia’s Gunung Leuser National Park, the majestic terrain ofChilean Patagonia, and more, OUR GREAT NATIONAL PARKS beckons us to get out and explore, create new ways for these wild places to thrive, and vigorously preserve them for future generations to come.
